1. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, profile photo, and authentication provider details when you sign in.
- Request information submitted by users, organisers, NGOs, helpers, and volunteers, including contact details, location, organisation details, role requested, and supporting notes.
- Emergency flow information you enter, such as animal type, problem, area, city, landmark, or map location, so the service can show relevant help options.
- Newsletter consent choices, email subscription status, and broadcast preferences for users who choose to receive updates.
- Technical information such as device, browser, pages visited, timestamps, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
- To show nearby helplines, organisations, guides, events, and rescue options.
- To review submissions, approve or reject portal access, moderate public content, and maintain listing quality.
- To contact users about submitted requests, corrections, safety issues, account support, or important service notices.
- To send newsletters and operational updates only where users have opted in, including volunteer needs, events, rescue updates, and community notices.
- To improve coverage, reliability, safety, fraud prevention, and the public rescue experience.
3. Sharing and public content
- We do not sell personal information.
- Approved organisation listings, events, live updates, reviews, helplines, and guide content may be shown publicly.
- We may share request or incident details with relevant responders, NGOs, clinics, organisers, or volunteers when needed to help resolve a rescue or safety issue.
- We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users, animals, responders, or the service, or to prevent misuse.
4. Location and emergency data
- Location information may be approximate or user-entered. It is used to route help and improve local search results.
- Do not submit sensitive personal addresses unless needed for a rescue or request.
- Emergency routing is informational. Always use judgment and contact local emergency responders, veterinarians, police, municipal authorities, or animal welfare bodies when appropriate.
5. Data retention and security
- We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, review submissions, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or safety obligations.
- We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
